“I had nothing but a dream, and a faith in pursuing it” -Francis Ngannou
Today, my friend Ekene Banye shared an incredible and one of the most inspirational documentaries of the year on YouTube.
It’s the incredible journey of Francis N’Gannou from Cameroon to become the UFC Harvey Champion.
Francis N’Gannou was born in Cameroon; as a child, he witnessed domestic violence against his mother. He worked as a child sand miner before he decide the travel to Europe through the treacherous Sahara desert and the Mediterranean sea to Spain.
In this amazing story, there are many lessons for young people all over the world and I learnt the following:
Lesson 1: Life is hard, and no one is coming to save you.
Lesson 2: You need a purpose/vision for your life.
Lesson 3: You must have a WHY to drive you to achieve your goals.
Lesson 4: To ensure that you do not give up because of the obstacle in your way, you need demonstrated commitment, and persistence to take action toward your goals.
Lesson 5: Everything that happens to you in your life is leading you to your current and future destination, And the future doesn’t make sense without the past.
Like Francis said;
You Have to Make Your Destiny
What is your purpose/vision?
What goals do you want to achieve?
What is your BIG WHY that will stop you from giving up in the face of life's many challenges?
“I had nothing but a dream, and a faith in pursuing it”
-Francis Ngannou
